Facilitate diocesan planning
- develop parish planning and development protocol and procedures that address the clustering, merging, closure, and opening of parishes
- research, interpret, present, and utilize demographic and parish profile data
- collaborate with other Regional Offices
- facilitate development of Diocesan Pastoral Plan objectives
Provide opportunities for parish leadership development
- research needs
- develop and facilitate training
- assist in the formation of Parish Pastoral Councils
Develop ministry initiatives that respond to local needs, e.g.
- Marriage Preparation
- Catholic Update
- Bereavement Ministry Days of Reflection
Develop Regional Office Website
Collaborate with the Kent and Sarnia-Lambton Deaneries
- serve as member of Deanery Executives
- provide administrative support for Regional Coordinator’s deanery responsibilities
Serve as a diocesan liaison
- animate contact between local parishes and diocesan offices
- facilitate diocesan presence and involvement with selected Kent/Lambton community organizations and initiatives
Maintain Xavier Resource Centre (Chatham) and Catholic Adult Faith Centre (Sarnia)
- provide audio-visual and print resources for ministry to assist parish leaders and community members
